Positions Summary:

As a Millwright I / II, your role is critical to the reputation that we have built for delivering world-class quality manufacturing, and repair & rebuild services to projects based domestically and worldwide. You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on all machinery, equipment and buildings.

 

Responsibilities:

• Working on and assembling large machinery and various other equipment
• Troubleshooting difficult repairs and installations to ensure a timely repair or set up of machinery and equipment
• Carrying out machine gear box overhauls
• Detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions
• Performing standard maintenance on large overhead cranes
• Performing general building and grounds maintenance for entire facility

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience as a ticketed Millwright
• Experience working on and assembling large machinery and equipment
• Red Seal endorsement is desired , or interest in working toward the red seal endorsement
• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot difficult repairs, troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
• Knowledge of machine gear boxes and repairs, as well as a variety of machining and fabrication equipment
• Perform standard maintenance on large overhead cranes.
• Knowledge of diesel, engine and propane powered forklifts is essential.
• Electrical experience an asset
• Strong communication skills

 

Special Requirements:

• This is a physically demanding position requiring a person to lift or move 50 lbs.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a moderately noisy environment.
• Fast paced environment with priorities that often change to meet current problems.
• Working at heights is required.
• Over time and some weekend work is required.

 

We offer competitive wages ($41.36-$42.42/hr) and comprehensive benefits. Remuneration and benefits plan as per the collective agreement.
