Summary:

We are seeking for a skilled CNC Machinist with a Red Seal certification and a strong background in programming and operating DMG 5-axis machines. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for precision manufacturing. As a Machinist in our Heavy Machine Shop, your role is critical to the reputation that we have built for delivering world-class quality manufacturing and repair/ rebuild services to projects based domestically and worldwide.

What You'll Do:

• Set up and operate DMG 5-axis CNC machines to produce complex components according to specifications. 
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
• Program CNC machines using G-code and CAM software, ensuring optimal machining processes. 
• Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, making adjustments as necessary. 
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices. 
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.

 

What You'll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred. 
• Red Seal certification as a CNC Machinist is required. 
• 10+ years of experience operating CNC machines, specifically DMG 5-axis machines. 
• Proficient in programming CNC machines using G-code and CAM software. 
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and material properties. 
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings. 
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Location : In-person

Pay: $45.06- $46.21 per hour (plus yearly raises as per Collective Agreement)
