Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. This role involves operating heavy machinery for road, street, commercial construction projects, and residential site works. The ideal candidate will have experience working around residential building sites, municipal utilities, roadwork, and commercial site work, ensuring precision and safety on every job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators for excavation, trenching, and grading tasks on various construction sites.
- Work around municipal utilities and ensure safe excavation practices around underground infrastructure.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on the excavator to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other crew members to ensure efficient project execution.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to construction site regulations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as an Excavator Operator, preferably in municipal utilities, roadwork, and commercial site development.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans.
- Knowledge of safety practices and equipment operation in construction environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Excavator Operator certification and relevant licenses (if applicable).
- Class 5 driver's license
