THE OPPORTUNITY

The Release of Information Clerk manages all requests for release of information in the Health Records department. This consists of receiving requests confirming or facilitating completion of consent forms, logging the requests in the Meditech Correspondence Module and fulfilling the requests plus assisting patients with my health care patient portal. This role will also assist with chart completion adding deficiencies and reviewing discharge charts for scanning and indexing.

The position contains a significant component of staying up to date with the Privacy Legislation and assisting Georgian Bay General Hospital in staff education.

HOURS OF WORK
Full Time. Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the CUPE collective agreement.
