Description

Our client in Mississauga, ON is currently looking for a Commerial Lines Insurance Claims adjuster. You must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience and previous Condominimum experience is preferred; however, not mandatory. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Intake of clients’ new claims and reporting to the insurance company
• Provide claims counselling as required to insureds in a professional and compassionate manner
• Advocate on claims, as needed, on client’s behalf with insurers
• Data input using the W5 claims system
• Maintain, coordinate and update client documents, including Word summaries and Excel spreadsheets
• Lead claim analysis meetings with commercial clients and/or Client Solutions Team
• Connect with the Client Solutions Team, adjusters and insureds with respect to open claims
• Collaborate with Loss Control Adjusters to establish or modify existing programs
• Liaise between insured and insurance carrier during settlement negotiations when required
• Document and action incoming communication in a timely fashion
• Mentor new team members and facilitate onboarding within the claims department

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Claims Adjusting experience or Broking including Claims Advocacy
• CIP designation an asset or courses completed towards designation
• Prior Commercial Insurance and/or Claims experience required
• Comprehensive and effective verbal/written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multi-task between a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Experience with an electronic filing system an asset
