Position Title: Part-Time Direct Support Professional(s) - (Beamsville & Vineland)

Nature of Position:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate(s) will be tasked with providing a variety of personalized supports for individuals who currently reside in our Children's Services & Children's Weekend Respite. This role requires the highest quality of care and support provided.

Hours and Availability:

• 0-35 Hours Weekly

These part-time positions expect availability for pick-up of additional support hours when required.

Compensation: $23.08-$25.27/hour

Responsibilities and Duties Include, but are not Limited to:

Case Management and House/Team Responsibilities:

• Assist with task assignments and contextual work explanation under the direction of the Team Lead.
• Aid individuals in financial matters such as annual budget planning and tax preparation.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISP) and Person-Centered Plans (PCP).
• Facilitate medication setup and reconciliation on a weekly basis.
• Conduct home inspections and ensure compliance with regulations and agency policies.

Client Service:

• Foster client-centered approaches to encourage skill development, self-determination, and community inclusion.
• Provide personal care with respect for individual dignity and preferences.
• Implement program activities and goals while networking within the community for inclusion opportunities.

Communication:

• Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders through various formats.
• Provide positive feedback to clients, supervisors, and external parties.
• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Teamwork:

• Collaborate respectfully with colleagues and contribute to a positive workplace environment.
• Participate in team meetings and share information for consistency of care.

Required Skills, Education, and Knowledge:

• The candidate(s) must have education or experience focused in child development or early childhood education
• Police clearance with broad sector screening, note: this is different from a vulnerable sector check.
• A valid G driver's license and insurable by the agency’s insurance company.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to respond to individual needs and crisis situations in a calm, productive manner.
• Well-developed organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Experience working with and following Behaviour Support Plans (BSP’s) is considered an asset.
• Must be available to work, days, evenings, sleep shifts, weekends, and, must be committed to be available for call in shifts.
