Tapered Insulation Estimator

Position Summary

The Tapered Insulation Estimator is responsible for the estimating of tapered insulation projects, on-site support as well as servicing all professionals in the roofing industry.

We’re looking for self-sufficient, motivated Tapered Insulation Estimator for our Rexdale location at 180 Bethridge Road who want to help us expand our fast-growing business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates by analyzing proposals, specifications, drawings and related documents
• Identify materials, labour and time requirements by studying proposals, specifications, drawings and related documents
• Use Taper-plus and AutoCAD to produce detailed layouts for accurate, cost effective estimates
• Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Present prepared quotations by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information
• Work within deadlines provided by customers, architects, consultants
• Maintain excellent relationships with sales staff and customers
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

 

Requirements

EDUCATION (one or more of the following)

• Construction, civil or architectural technician/technologist
• 2-5 years’ experience in project estimating
• 2-5 years’ experience in roofing industry

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

• Must be a self-motivator
• Must be well organized and able to multi-task
• Ability to work within a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which priorities are constantly changing
• Ability to easily visualize the 3-dimensional concept of plans and details
• Able to communicate (read, write, speak) in English

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders or staging to access roof tops
• Others
  Valid drivers’ license and vehicle
