Description
We are the Maritimes' only John Deere Dealership with 15 locations to serve you.
We are looking for a skilled, dedicated person to fill the position of Sales Manager at our Sydney, NS location.
Purpose:
The Sales Manager works with the Branch Manager to manage sales functions, including providing guidance on sales processes, coaching, and developing sales professionals. This role is responsible for branch inventory audits, and works with the Sales, Parts, and Service Departments to create a cohesive environment, making recommendations of opportunities for the sale of parts and service products.
Responsibilities
- Works with the sales teams to help in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area
- Stays current on product knowledge, features, and benefits of all equipment
- Proactively monitors competitive activity/products and communicates to management
- Assists with the preparation and execution of all customer events and field demonstrations
- Maintains knowledge of financing options and assist the sales team with securing the purchase of new and used goods
- Attends applicable sales training events as required
- Works with our used equipment process to ensure accurate used valuations and drive used equipment sales
- Works with sales reps to achieve annual sales goals and grow market share
- Submits sales in a timely fashion, following all sales processes
- Help new salespeople understand our sales process and help them increase their sales volume
- Give input in the management of existing sales staff and offer assistance in recruitment and selection of new sales staff
Requirements
- 3+ years of equipment sales experience
- Knowledge of turf equipment operations and uses an asset
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
